last night i was supposed to go watch 'el último mandado' (an independent argentine movie that takes place in a small town, practically the same area where my mom & dad were born and raised) and antonio birabent (an argentine singer), but when me and my friend were waiting for the train, the weather played a dirty trick on us and had to go home instead. it started raining like crazy and we had to go inside the train station where we met two really cool skaters who were playing guitar/drums.
we then decided to make pizza and rent some movies ('the ex', and 1984's 'footloose') and had a slumber party. but the party ended when i fell asleep while watching one of them.
for some reason, i've been watching 'closer' and 'the mona lisa's smile' a lot for the past month. cable tv doesn't offer many good options, but i'm always the one who decides to watch these movies instead of finding new ones. i think maybe it's because i want to believe there is an art teacher like julia robert's character somewhere near me, or the fact that, in a way, i can relate to all the 'closer' fucked up relationships.
also, i've been dreaming a lot of either naked old co-workers or buying myself multiple bikes. does that ring a bell to anyone? i feel nasty and materialistic.
